Christian Students Protesting Bush Commencement Address

In case anyone think all Evangelicals are supporters of the Bush Administration, or any political party, some concerned faculty and students at Calvin College are voicing their concern with the choice for commencement speaker, letting the President know they are "not Liberty." In an open letter to the president, they challenge him on the issues of the war, poverty, the environment and divisiveness.

It is an interesting development and a reminder that many people of faith, while sharing a love for Jesus with George W, are concerned with the rhetoric and policies of our Christian President and his political base. It is good to see such "rebellion" and independent thought from today's young Christians.
