fiesty political debate from Christians

While I was living and not paying attention to blogs, a group of friends with absolutely nothing better to do with their lives had a lively debate, beating up on a hapless Conservative (who is probably a friend of mine and could not be baited to out himself) for his views on Kerry vs. Bush.

If you come from a very partisan view of the debate (or from an undecided view) and are open minded to the views of others, read this debate in the comments of my friend Craig's blog.

Remember you have 2 choices and 2 places to come down during this election. It is either...

"Kerry sucks Less" or "Bush sucks Less." There is no other option!

call it 'baiting' if you want, but i am still not fond of anonymous posters. perhaps i've just had to deal with them, and their unrestrained, partisan rhetoric a few too many times.

i fully uphold their right to remain anonymous. however, i also reserve the right to pick at them for it.

then again, i'm swearing off producing or commenting on political posts. so all this is for naught.

Kerry sucks less I have no trouble with. Partisan lackey I do. Suppose Democrats say the sky is blue, and the Republicans say it's Orange. Should i happen to agree with the Democrats, does this make me partisan? Have never registered under one party or the other, and have cast votes for both parties.

When did I call you a partisan lackey?

Craig's blog? Man, that is obscure.

even partisan lackeys agree with the other side every once in a while.

a self effacing sense of humor is a wonderful thing.

I love the way everyone (especially those "everyones" named Jeff and James) has a need to justify themselves on comment boards on these blogs.

Don't worry about what they talk about.

"they talk alot don't they?"

Concerning the "ubiquitous they" did you hear of the guy who legally changed his name to They for that very reason? By the way Iron and Wine i caught onto from the Garden State soundtrack.

the quote is from Pulp Fiction, Uma said it.

I have a long fascination with Them and They. 2 great books are Coercion (Why we listen to what "They" say) and Them (a bout about a british journalist hanging out with extremeists and living to tell about it).

You would like both.

Didn't read that debate, but wanted to mention that I wasn't the anonymous this time.

Whoever that dude was that decided to comment on my blog was an ass. Or an idiot. I can't quite decide.

Let me put it this way, it takes a certain amount of tactless behavior to go on some stranger's blog, read back through their blog, and then comment up at the front of the blog, on an unrelated post, with a short monologue essentially attacking that stranger's viewpoints. You think this is hapless?

"Kerry sucks Less" or "Bush sucks Less." (I sense mischief in your tone, but will still take the bait). I wish it were as simple as that. In 2000, it was the issue of who sucked less. This year, it's much more important. In my opinion, Bush and the GOP have pulled the wool over the eyes of America. I've only come to realize this as I read more (thus removing the wool). It's freakish, really, how muched they've screwed this country up the ass, and then continue to play it in the name of freedom.

Hey Craig - There are non-bloggers who read your blog and would like to comment/purchase your cd. Do you think you could take off the anon. blocker and allow us non-bloggers to participate? Sorry Rick for using your blog for this. Michael of TN

to Riddle...

I would agree to a "Nader Sucks Less" designation. However, since I voted for him in the last election (as a resident of TX at the time my vote did not count in our wonderful electoral college way of doing things) I would have agreed in 2000.

But, this is an election that people need to decide between these 2 highly flawed fairly useless candidates, unless you live in a state that has already decided (i.e. Texas, Mass, etc.). If you are in one of those states, "Nader Sucks Less."

As for my endorsement, KSL.
