Althought it may endorse the Republican Party in matters of policy and agenda, the Christian Right must stand against this type of behavior in its party of choice. This is the type of politics that is not only illegal, but dangerous in a Democracy.
Yes, I know Democrats have tried dirty tricks, but they were not getting the implicit blessing of Evangelical Christians while breaking the law. Evangelicals that elected Bush must expect higher standards from those it gives its money and loyalty to.
