The Continued Irrelevance of my denominational heritage

Thanks to Jesus Politics for the heads up.

FORMER Judge Roy Moore (unlike the name on the front of the book) releases "So Help Me God: The Ten Commandments, Judicial Tyranny, and the Battle for Religious Freedom." It is published by Broadman & Holman, a division of LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention. They are releasing it in time for the fight in the Supreme Court.

Read the story of a stubborn law breaking supposed upholder of the law that made a mountain out of a mole hill and is making a career for himself as a martyr (by asking for large speaking fees and geting ready for a run at state office). I have nothing else to say.

you know what's really funny? i know of a certain consumer-driven christian company who received a call from the broadman holman rep concerning roy moore's title. according to the rep, the company is to call the man "chief justice roy moore." the rep said that the company should never call him "roy" or, my personal favorite, "censured chief justice roy moore." he said that using the full title will, and i quote, "save us all a lot of trouble."

where there's a will, there's a lifeway. or so my saying goes.

Hey Rick, thanks for the blogroll - in fact, you have met me! We met briefly at Boston Soularize, where I was handing out flyers on the "Get Up Off Your Knees" book.
