I got a new pair of Birkenstocks yesterday. While this may not amount to much in your world, I have found that little victories and accomplishments are what I have to look forward to (sad, huh). In over 15 years of continuous wear (outside of harsh winters- in which they become slippers), this is only the 4th pair I have bought.

Sadly, my favorite design is no longer made, so I had to special order them 8 weeks ago. The duct tape on the bottom of my present pair was about to give out.
