I am sure most people have seen this, but I was reading the paper today and found this AP article on a Southern Baptist Church in North Carolina that kicked out members who would not commit to vote for George W. Bush.
Sadly, the Baptist Press has said nothing. I suppose if they say anything it will be some sort of justification for the behavior or it will try to blame the media, People for the American Way, Democrats and the CBF. The scary thing is, if this church loses its tax-deductible status, this Pastor will become a martyr for the Christian Right and his career will take off as a speaker.
All the Christian Right legal societies and websites will come to this guys defense.
