And you thought the Administration and Fox News Supported the troops? You naive soul

I have been busy lately, with job related matters I am not yet ready to discuss, along with writing assignments (the kind that pay and potentially pay- unlike this blog, which I love), so I have been neglecting this blog, only coming out of my cave when I am pissed off (I do promise to reengage with the list as soon as I am through with the present assignments.

Anyway, I have been watching this Walter Reed Fiasco (I would use the word Jon Stewart uses, but the F-word could keep me from future career choices, if future employers are bored enough to read this blog) since the beginning, frustrated beyond belief and unable to talk about it too long without my blood pressure increasing to unhealthy levels.

With the lack of play from conservative news outlets to the political concerns of Brit Hume, the Liberal media is the only voice for the soldiers, whom the Republicans and their media outlets support only when it forwards their agenda. the Bush administration once again takes no responsibility, seeking to send queries to the Pentagon, which is led by their cronies.

Once again the sheer lack of planning, oversight and leadership in the administration of this war is incomprehensible to me. Once again the lack of Executive leadership makes a forgiving soul such as mine desire impeachment (again, I am not a Democrat). As the son of a veteran who has spent years fighting the VA for recognition of his combat wounds, I am saddened by the future for these young men and women who have sacrificed so much for such a monumentally bad idea.

I may blog later, especially on the real costs of this war in human terms(not just deaths), but right now I am going to eat so my blood sugar does not get too out of whack thinking about this stuff.

So, I leave you with this from last night's Daily Show. Jon Stewart puts it better than I can (watch it no matter your political beliefs- It is truth disguised as satire).

I know what you mean. But be patient. It's only a matter of time till Cheney's eating wet food from a bowl on the kitchen floor!
