AARP and Me

I turned 36 a few days ago.

I realized I am now closer to AARP membership than I am to the voting age (actually that was true a couple of years ago) and as of a few days ago, I am now closer to qualifying for AARP (14 years) than I am from being of legal drinking age (15 years).

This begs a question, should I now be IDed for senior discounts when I am IDed for alcohol?
