Buy Nothing Christmas

A new way to Celebrate Christ's Birthday Posted by Hello

There are some great links out there to help us come up with "another way" to celebrate the birth of the Savior of the World.

Alternatives for Simple Living has a great catalog, great resources, including "Whose Birthday is it anyway?"

Buy Nothing Christmas is a wonderful site put together by some Mennonites, who seem to get all of this stuff so much better than we Evangelicals. The Bible Study is worth the site search, as are the posters, alternatives section and tract entitled "Jesus Shops for Sandals."

There are many other resources out there to make us think about a new way to do Christmas, including Watch for the Light, Readings for Advent and Christmas by Plough Publishers, as well as other sites (some quite radical) you can find linked to sites I mentioned, as well as Adbusters.

Have fun.

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for these links! I'd not heard of this before, and it is just what I've been looking for. I'm adding some form of them into all of my websites.

Grace and Peace,
Paul
