31 Marines killed in helicopter crash in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq - In the deadliest single incident involving U.S. troops in Iraq, 31 Marines were killed Wednesday after their helicopter crashed in the western desert area of Iraq, military officials told NBC News.

I grow so weary of this. It does not matter if it is an accident or combat. It does not matter if it is a US Marine or an Iraqi child. This fiasco with no WMDs, not enough armor or troops, responsible parties promoted and innocent dead will not be remembered positively by our historians.

Selfishly, I continually watch in dread hoping to never hear the name of someone I know over there.

Was it still a fiasco after 8 million Iraqis voted and millions more celebrated the dawning of a free nation?
