As you may know, I love irony. I am glad that its death had been exaggerated after 9-11. So far, in my reading of the events at the Southern Baptist Convention, this is the best. Evidently, in President Bush's remarks to the SBC he praised their work and highlighted a church in Orlando, Florida (College Park BC) for receiving government funds for building senior housing.
The church he highlighted no longer contributes to the CP and now considers itself a CBF church. Read about it here. I am waiting for Baptist Press to write an article on the Baptist church praised by our precious president (they did mention it was a CBF church in their report).
