still

  • still hate houston
  • still hate the astriods'
  • still think houston fans are among the least knowledgable in baseball*
  • still think minute maid field should be imploded
  • still think that I could hit a home run to left field
  • still want an astriods center fielder to get a concussion from hitting the flagpole (and sprain his ankle on the hill)
  • still think instant replay is needed in baseball (especially the playoffs)
  • still think those umps suck
  • still think fox should not be allowed the opportunity to continue to ruin our national pasttime with its "baseball for dummies" coverage (how can people trust the political coverage of a network which blows
  • still think the Pujols home run in game 5 makes the sting less painful
  • still smiling that the 'striods could not win it in front of their fans and game 5 sucked so bad for them

people always ask that. There are 4 main readons.

1. I am from Daytona Beach, as is my dad. It used to home to the Cards A team.

2. My dad has always loved them (based on reason1). He raised me right. He actually saw Musial as a A pitcher.

3.My dad took me to the Baseball HoF as a small child. He showed me all this Stan "the Man" Musial stuff, which hooked me and bought me paraphenalia.

4. He took me on a family vacation as a 7th grader to Busch Stadium and StL to see the Cards.

Yes, er...this site really is about the therapy. Hope you are out of your funk soon...the Arizona Cards are gonna need all the help they can get this season. Too bad we don't play them twice a year anymore...those were the good ol' days.

My first mlb game was at the old comiskey park (white sox vs. tigers). I believe Wilbur Wood pitched that night. Harry Carey (sp?) was the broadcaster back then and I became a fan of Chet Lemon and Richie Zisk. I also had my program stolen (I left it on the seat when we went to the bathroom) and learned that I might need glasses because I couldn't see the scoreboard. What a night. Anyway, go Sox!

good to see someone with fond White Sox memories, instead of Cubs memories.

sadly, I have only been to the newer Cominsky in 1995. It is an ugly field.
