Every time I see the sick video of dogfighting on CNN or some other "News" channel, I get a sick feeling in my stomach. On the day before we evacuated for Katrina, we found a pit bull puppy that was so sweet and so smart. Because we were evacuating and couldn't search for the owner, we dropped him off at a shelter. To think that some neanderthal may have picked him up from the shelter and forced him to fight has cost me some sleep at night.
I am ashamed to live in a place where such cruelty could occur.
